  • The PantoGlasses (cellulose) acetate frames are cut and polished to expose the deep true color of the material.
  • All our models are CE certified.

We ship all over the world.

The glasses are finished in production in a few days. When shipping, we supply you the tracking number, either with DHL or SF-express.

Typically it take up to 5 days to complete your order. Shipping time with our partner DHL is 2-5 days, meaning it will normally take 7-10 business days from you place your order till you have your new glasses. For free shipping, the shipping time is typically 15-20 days.

  • The rimless frames in the PantoGlasses collection are made of 100% titanium. Super thin and ultra light, although strong. Allergy free.
  • The Oxford metal frames are made with Stainless Steel, both the silver and the gold colored one. Some of these are fitted with a Windsor ring in acetate, which is the original true panto design.

The frames are designed in Norway, based on classic shapes of panto from old times and more modern models. Produced by some of Chinas highest quality manufacturers.

To adjust the length of the temples, the easiest is to visit an optician. They are the experts. You MAY also heat it the end of the temple with warm water or with a hair dryer, but there is a risk of breaking it or burning it if you hold the air stream too long in position.

  • Panto glasses are by definition not so big frames. #47 is the “one size fits all”.
  • If you have a small face, if you prefer the smallest size or have strong glasses, the #45 is available in some models.
  • #49 is the choice if you prefer a rather big Panto. Even bigger sizes than 49 mm width of the glass would not look right for this style.

In case there should be any information missing, or we need to check out some details on your info or order, the phone number is very useful.

You will register your prescription from your local optician in your account on PantoGlasses, together with address and contact information. When/if you want to revert to us for additional products or others, we will have your information safely registered. Your account is like having a analog or digital file with your optician. We will never share this information with anyone. If you decide to buy PantoGlasses without saving your information, this is of course also possible.

PayPal, VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

The center of the far distance part of the lenses should be centered in front of the eye. Accordingly the distance (PH) from the lower part of the lens to this center is used for fitting the lenses when the optician make the actual glasses. For the Panto Glasses. Where all lenses have the well defined classic shape of panto, we have the average PH that is used when actual measuring can not be done. Based on the Virtual Try-on photos the PH can be further calibrated. The PD is very important for the fitting of progressive glasses though.

As for the example of computer glasses. If you are a goldsmith welding metal at 25cm distance, the ADD is 1:0,25=4. If you are a violin player and the distance to the music stand, the ADD is 1:1=1

The major difference between the power of reading glasses and computer glasses is the distance the glasses will be used for. The actual and direct power is the inverse distance measured in meters (1 divided by distance from the eyes to the computer measured in meters, e.g. 1:0,66=1,50) ) to get the ADD for computer use.

What is ADD/Addition from the prescription? How is it connected to reading/working distance? How to calculate YOUR power of reading glasses?

For people 45 years or older, special reading glasses are needed to see clearly on short distances. For this a pair of reading glasses may be used like with an add of 1,50D. However, the client will see everything in far distance very blurred when wearing these. Progressive lenses are the solution to the problem. In the upper part of the lenses the power is what is needed for far distance, or 0,00 if no distance prescription needed. In the lower part of these well established although very advanced lenses, there is the area that has the power of the reading glasses. The transition between the zones is invisible, unlike old bifocal lenses.

Astigmatism is a common eye condition that causes blurriness or distortion in vision. It occurs due to an irregular curvature of the cornea or lens.

What are prisms? Most of the time prismatic correction is an expensive addition to the cost of glasses. At Panto Glasses the difference is not much ..

This is important and we already have a good user manual for this. WHY measure PD and what if this measure is not included on the prescription?

How to understand the prescription from the optician or ophthalmologist? The importance of having the eyes tested by professionals on a regular basis and how often? What is SPH, CYL, AXE, ADD and PD?

Since the customers in moist cases can not try the glasses on physically, it is important that they are comfortable with the virtual Try-on. Sharing, saving and studying photos needs to be communicated.

Important for me and for the customers to get the message through that 3 for 2 is a very interesting offer. It is a good discount, but also very interesting aesthetically and practically to have more than one pair of glasses for different occasions and use. Also, people need a pair of progressive, a pair of reading glasses, another pair of computer glasses, one pair of prescription sunglasses and one pair of single vision glasses as spare, for TV and walking in the woods.

Inform about the two shipping alternatives, time frame and costs – what is included

Here I will show in words and by Loom how to do the payment, inform about PayPal and how to do when you do not have PayPa

This is a VERY important point. There are few people who really know what is the word panto. However, when explaining, very many will recognize, understand and remember. To spread the word “WHAT IS PANTO” is probably the most important part of any marketing I can do

No, most of the time not directly. The refraction of the light is slightly different in contact lenses and glasses, and the fact that a lens has no distance to the eye/cornea also gives a slightly different result – the bigger difference the higher the strength.

The prescription is the description of the refraction needed to give you an optimal vision. It is described in diopters (D), with a minus – for those who are myopic/shortsighted, a plus + for those who are hyperopic/farsighted. This is the SPH value of your prescription

Addition (ADD) is the difference between far distance vision and reading (near) vision. It is always starting with a plus +, typically from +1,00D to +2,50D, while for the longer working distance for computer glasses, the add is typically +1,50 or +1,75D.

Cylinder (CYL) that describes the astigmatism is typically starting with a minus -, followed by the direction of the CYL, described as axis (AXE).

The optician, optometrist or opthalmolog are the experts on eye examinations. When you do the test, you pay for their skilled work, and the result, the prescription is you property – or a copy of it.

After the age of 45, most people will need reading glasses. However, looking at far distance with these, everything gets blurred. In the progressive glasses, there is a zone in the lower part of the lens, where you naturally look through when reading. In the upper/straight ahead zone of the lens, you have no optical refraction for those who do not need glasses for distance, or the prescription for others. You may keep the glasses on all day, or in situations where this is needed.

If, for some reason, there should be any defects for the glasses, you get a replacement the first 2 months.

Yes, the frames are offered to opticians all over the world. Please ask your local optician to consider to carry these products for his store, so that you can also try them on there.

We keep your personal info safe, and do not share it with anyone outside our organization.
