Near Vision Calculator

Based on the power (SPH/CYL/AXE) in your prescription and the ADD, you can easily find the optimal power for your near-vision glasses with our Panto Calculator.

How to Use the Panto Calculator:

⦁ Enter your prescription.
⦁ Enter your ADD.
⦁ Your optimal glasses power is instantly calculated.
⦁ Make a note of the power.
⦁ You can now order your new near vision glasses online or from an optician.

Understanding Optical Terminology:

Optical terminology can be confusing, with specialized words and expressions like CYL, SPH, AXE, ADD, PD, and more. This can make ordering glasses online challenging.
We have prepared this “Panto-Optics-In-Three-Minutes” guide to help you learn the language of optics. [Link]

Ready-Made Reading Glasses:

If you do not need glasses for astigmatism (CYL) and the power is similar for both eyes, you can use this information to buy ready-made reading glasses (OTC – Over The Counter Glasses) from a hardware shop. Keep in mind:
⦁ OTC glasses do not account for the PD (pupillary distance) – the distance between your eyes.
⦁ They are not HMC Anti-Reflective Coated, which means they may have disturbing reflections from the front and back surfaces.
